Equality and diversity
This page explains the Export Credits Guarantee Department's (ECGD) policy on equality and diversity as set out in its Equality Scheme - 2010- 2013.
Our Equality Scheme covers our statutory responsibilities under race, disability and gender legislation.
The Equality Act, April 2010, creates a new public duty which will include age, religion and sexual orientation. Our Equality Scheme seeks to take the requirements of the new Act into account, but may need amendment when the detail of the new public duty is known.
The scheme will be monitored regularly for progress and the action plan within it revised as necessary.
