Freedom of information
This section describes the Export Credits Guarantee Department’s (ECGD) responsibilities under the Freedom of Information Act 2000(FOIA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs), and tells you how to request information under this legislation. It also explains our publication scheme and information asset register.
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs) give the public a right of access to information held by all public authorities in the United Kingdom. Anyone can make a request for information and can expect a reply within 20 working days.
